Honesty and Integrity: Members shall conduct themselves with honesty, integrity, and fairness in all dealings with clients, customers, and other real estate professionals.
Client Fidelity: Members shall prioritize the interests of their clients above their own, providing honest and unbiased advice and representation.
Confidentiality: Members shall respect the confidentiality of client information and maintain the privacy of sensitive information unless required by law to disclose.
Competence: Members shall continually strive to improve their knowledge, skills, and competence in all aspects of real estate practice to better serve their clients and customers.
Professionalism: Members shall maintain a professional demeanour and adhere to high standards of conduct in all business activities, including communication, appearance, and behaviour.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Members shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards governing the real estate industry.
Avoidance of Misrepresentation: Members shall provide accurate and truthful information to clients, customers, and other parties involved in real estate transactions, and shall not engage in any form of misrepresentation or deception.
Conflict of Interest: Members shall disclose any potential conflicts of interest to all parties involved in a transaction and shall refrain from representing conflicting interests without the informed consent of all parties.
Respect for Property Rights: Members shall respect the property rights of others and shall not engage in any activity that may infringe upon those rights.
Community Responsibility: Members shall contribute to the well-being of their communities and the advancement of the real estate profession through active participation in professional associations, educational programs, and community service initiatives.
Environmental Responsibility: Members shall promote environmentally sustainable practices and strive to minimize the environmental impact of real estate development and transactions.
Non-Discrimination: Members shall not discriminate against any individual or group based on race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Fair Housing: Members shall uphold the principles of fair housing and shall not engage in any discriminatory practices prohibited by law.
Ethical Advertising and Marketing: Members shall ensure that all advertising and marketing materials are truthful, accurate, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Accountability: Members shall take responsibility for their actions and shall promptly address any complaints or concerns raised by clients, customers, or other parties involved in real estate transactions.
